Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce serves Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa. The role of HBCC is to advocate and lobby on behalf of M/W/DBE’s and to establish programs and networking opportunities for them to expand their resources.

Although we are a regional chamber, our focus is being an advocate for small businesses in our area. With offices in KCK and KCMO, the Heartland is an excellent resource for any business.

From business development, business to business, training, monthly networking events and workforce development the Heartland Chamber is all about helping entrepreneurs grow their vision and connect with larger corporations.

ADVOCACY

By maintaining a bipartisan approach, HBCC collaborates with policymakers from all political affiliations that promotes small business growth, particularly policies that address the challenges of small and minority businesses.

ACCESS TO CAPITAL

Capital access remains the most important factor limiting the establishment, expansion and growth of small businesses. We work with financial institutions to create avenues by which businesses can gain greater access to credit, capital and other financial instruments.

CONTRACTING

Our goal is to help members gain access to business opportunities in the private and public sectors. This is accomplished by educating members on contract opportunities, helping them increase their capacity to compete for large scale contracts and offering resources and information that enhance their ability to compete.

COUNSELING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES

As a member of a national organization, we leverage our resources to provide technical assistance and leadership training to our members and facilitate the sharing of best practices and industry data among our members across the nation. To accomplish this task, we utilize a variety of resources including; training, web-based tools, peer networking, coaching and Information products.

ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING

HBCC is committed to helping businesses achieve and grow through entrepreneur and business management training. We deliver quality educational opportunities and professional development resources that help our members succeed.

The St. Louis chapter of the Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce is a community-wide effort to attract, create, support and accelerate new and existing businesses within St. Louis. An integrated, systematic community ecosystem, HBCC connects you with the resources necessary for you to succeed.
